Owl’s Nest Farm

Owl’s Nest Farm grows unique, delicious, nutritious, diverse vegetables, herbs, fruit, and flowers on four acres just outside DC in Upper Marlboro, MD. Managed cooperatively by three farmer-friends with over two decades of combined farming experience, Owl’s Nest Farm uses organic practices to grow real food for our CSA members, farmer’s market customers, restaurants, and friends. Before it was Owl’s Nest Farm, the land was Radix Farm, operated by Kristin Carbone. When Kristin decided to take a break from farming at the end of 2015, Genevieve, Spencer and Liz jumped at the chance to start their very own farm together. The land we lease has been managed according to organic guidelines since 2011. It was Certified Naturally Grown from 2013-2015, and we expect to have our own CNG certification before the start of the 2016 harvest season.
